The Tryp Bat Sheva Boutique Hotel (a member of Wyndham, the world’s largest hotel chain) is located in proximity to the Old City of Jerusalem. Designer Dana Oberson chose to design the hotel with a Jerusalem style and flavor and offer guests a mosaic of ancient and contemporary western styles using innovative designs with nuances of all immigrant cultures who comprise the new neighborhoods. Oberson’s design concept for the hotel was to freeze a moment in time in Jerusalem, a city whose rich past is a dominant motif, and turn it into a new, contemporary language in modern Jerusalem. The hotel tells the story of the continuity of eras, of a journey through time and of mementoes of travels – retro suitcases, globes, binoculars and ancient sailing ship models adorn the shelves in the lobby and in the various spaces. Renby drapes, upholstery fabrics and bed runners were selected to unify the ambience.
